Ottertail Lodge
The Lodge is located at the end of a dead-end road in a remote Northern location. A mystical place set at the edge of a hardwood forest, where you can hear coyotes and owls at night, see deer, turkey, grouse, an occasional bear and a host of small 'critters' and birds. New photos appear at the top, so if you are a first time visitor, scroll to the bottom of the May, 2005, archive and view the building process.

I wondered about that when Isaw the photo for the first time. Now I see that it is the reflected flash from the camera, complete with areas blocked by the lampshade. First the flash is directly blocked from reaching the mirror, making one dark area, and then the reflected light from the mirror runs into the lampshade, producing the second notch in the reflectd light pattern. Makes it look like the lampshade image on the mirror is relfected as a dark area. My favorite picture.......
