Friday night

Greetings, earthlings.
Here are a few random views of Lake Michigan taken from Highway 2. What a nice drive it is for the hour or two before reaching St. Ignace. And then you get to cross the bridge. What's better than that??????

While driving the backroads in Connecticut I kept thinking about the guys that mount a camcorder on the bike fork and then drive some curvy roads. It's pretty good except you get the same effect as the cameras in the Nascar cars. When the car banks, it looks like the world tips sideways. Unavoidable illusion with a ridgid mounted camera. So I'm dreaming of making a camera mount for the handle bars which will let the camera remain horizontal via a counterweight below a pivoting mount. Of course the mount has to pivot 360° to capture the slope of grades. The ridgid mount also makes hills appear to flatten out as soon as the camera angle matches the grade angle. So, you glutons for punishment, just wait til I get this mount figured out and I start sending you video that will simulate you actually viewing the curves and hills. I'll test it on County C, from 86 down to YY. Either it will be awesome or just another Carlo fiasco...... wish me luck.

So the pics of Dawn and Tim's have been delayed, perhaps I'll get around to them on the weekend.

Have a good 4th of July holiday.

I gotta go, Carlo
